CHAOS DIVINE To Support SLAYER, MASTODON In Perth
April 1, 2007Australian metallers CHAOS DIVINE have announced plans to return to the studio before the end of the year to begin recording the follow-up to last year's acclaimed "Ratio" five-song EP. The band will also be touring Australia in July/August with both all-ages and 18+ shows. In addition, CHAOS DIVINE will support SLAYER and MASTODON at the Robinson Pavillion (Claremont Showgrounds) in Perth on Thursday, April 12.
According to CHAOS DIVINE's official bio, the band's sound "is very much what the name suggests — at times a blaze of thick riffage with a brick wall sized sound which seems to spiral into hypnotic melodies. Drawing influences from a vast array of metal bands such as MESHUGGAH, OPETH, ARCH ENEMY, DREAM THEATER, TOOL, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD and SOILWORK, to name only a few, the sound of CHAOS DIVINE seems difficult to categorise. The mixing of brutal polyrhythmic metal and ambient contemporary rock music has seen the members of CHAOS DIVINE bring various styles into a unique chaotic fusion."
